CH Shoebutton's Beau Burnside, MX, MXJ, NF,SE, CGC
Sam was a brialliant jumper! A real go getter. Marian took an interest to further his training by trialing him and taking him to classes with expert trainer, Karen Gatos in Have de Grace, MD. As I have been so busy with the conformation shows and the pups, Marian agreed to continue to run him for a possible MACH! Thanks go out to Marian, from Sam and I, as well as his Co-Owner Joan Dance, for handling him to become a very consistent, smooth running guy who loved every minute of competition! She skillfully worked many hours with him and and handled him to his Senior Earth Dog and 2 legs of his Master ED! This is a feet only one other Norwich has completed to date!Aug 1, 2001 - December 25, 2010 AKA Sam was my home bred 9.5 year old Norwich who trained with me for agility competition for his first five years. I put his Novice titles on him, but handed him over to handler, Blair Kelly, to further enhance his trial competition. He acquired his AKC Open Standard and Jumpers titles and Excellent Jumpers title under his expert handling. In 2008-09 he completed his Master Standard and Jumpers titles with handler Marian Shaw at the helm who has now been running him for the last two years! Sam and Marian were invited to the 2009 Eukanuba Invitational where only 5 in each breed are asked to participate. Marian had pulled a calf muscle several weeks before, but decided to go anyway. We were all glad she did as Sam proved to be the most consistent Norwich there and came home with the top honor! #1 Norwich at the 2009 Invitational! We miss you Sam There will never be another dog that can stand in your paw prints! My dogs and I trained sometimes at the Oriole Dog Training Club in Catonsville, MD It is a great club with wonderful instructors for those of you who are in the area. We have run-thrus inside and out almost every week. The club gives about 10 trials a year. Blair Kelly is usually secretary for the trials. Check out the training club and join in the fun of learning agility if you are in our Baltimore/Maryland area, www.orioledogclub.org . |
